Surrounded by the muscat vines of Rivesaltes in the coastal meadows to the north of Perpignan and overlooked by hills and mountains, Chez Colmaire provides simple but comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price. Yours hosts are vignerons and can give good advice on visiting local wine producers!
Accommodations - the Bedrooms:
There is a double/triple room and plus a family suite at the disposal of our guests:

With direct access to the terrace and swimming pool, "La Vigne" has a double bed plus a single bed and a private bathroom attached.

"Le Vent" is a family suite with a double bedroom plus a twin bedroom (2 single beds), a shower room and a separate toilet en-suite.

The terrace, pool, garden, garden room and summer kitchen are at your disposal.

 





Continental breakfast is included in the basic tariff  and for other meals, there are several village restaurants close by.

Ample off-road parking.  

Open all year round.

Bicycles at available on loan and, if you are by chance en-route with your own horse, stabling can be provided.

There are horses, dogs and a cat in residence.

In the vicinity, there is the beach at 6 miles, Perpignan at 14 miles, the Spanish border at about 30 minutes, medieval castles in every direction and Mount Canigou just 20 minutes away.

There are innumerable attractions nearby - you have the opportunity to mountain bike or take walking tours (the 12 day Sentiere Cathare route takes you through the landscape of the Cathar religious struggles), sample the best of French haute cuisine in local restaurants, meet prehistoric European man and taste the excellent wines, to mention but a few things within 15 minutes drive. Extend your tour to an hour and you will add the Mediterranean beaches, numerous castles, canal trips, Roman roads and festivals throughout the summer and Spain. Rivesaltes produces excellent sweet muscat dessert wine.
