In the hills just 2 kilometres from the
edge of beautiful sea shore town of Menton (centre property in picture
above) and the same distance from the Italian border you will find Villa
Gazzano on the road to the little village of Castellar. With cascading
terraces, panoramic views (see picture second from bottom) and a swimming
pool on one level, surrounded by classical statuettes, you could very easily
mistake this for the coastline of Tuscany.

All of the four bedrooms which have their
own entrances from the terrace have en-suite bath and toilet - although
they are not large, all are comfortable with plenty of hanging space. Continental
breakfast on the terrace or in the dining room beside the Chinese water
garden (above right) is included in our tariff and evening meals may be
taken either in the lovely old town of Menton or in one of the nearby villages.

Menton is an old fishing town of immense
charm: narrow streets running down to the harbour, lined with bistros and
boutiques: tiny ornate squares where you can sit and watch the world pass
by whilst sipping a chilled aperitif before your evening meal. Prepare
yourselves for the warmest of welcomes from your English Italian hosts.
Monte Carlo can be reached in twenty
minutes and Ventimiglia, the first major town in Italy in half an hour.
This is the Cote d'Azur at its most charming.
Open all year.
