The present manor house was completed in 1676, only the little 15th century gothic chapel remains of the original building: this is a magnificent fortified farmstead complete with walled farm yard and its huge, original pigeonnier. The whole has been sensitively restored to provide good comfortable accommodations in an informal atmosphere. Coastal location extremely well positioned for visiting all sights of Normandy and northern Brittany including the WW2 invasion beaches and Bayeux.  An easy drive from Cherbourg, Caen and St Malo.

Accommodations: All of the comfortable, character filled bedrooms have exposed beams  - facilities include adequate wardrobe and drawer space: there are two family suites, each with 1 double and 2 single beds, 1 room with 2 separate beds that can be joined to form a large double and 1 other double bedroom; all have en-suite bath or shower and toilet. The house is situated down a private lane well away from the local highway, there is a large grass play area for children. This is still a working farm so some care must be taken for children's safety.  Whilst a buffet breakfast is included in the basic B&B tariff, evening meals are not served in house: there are several good value (and expensive) restaurants nearby. Nearest restaurant at Grandcamp-Maisy at 4 km.

The ports of Ouistreham, Caen is 40 mins drive and Cherbourg 75 mins, Paris: 3 hrs, Bayeux (the tapestry): 25 mins, D-Day landing beaches: 10 to 30 mins,  Mont-St-Michel: 60 mins, Suisse Normande (area of great natural beauty and wonderful old half timbered villages): 20 mins, Honfleur: 75 mins, Deauville (Parisian playground and American film festival): 50 mins, Giverny (Monet's garden); 90 mins, Dinan and St Malo (Medieval walled town): 75 mins.  Riding, Golf, Hiking, Beaches all nearby. Open all year.
