A beautiful old farmhouse brought back to life by its young owners with a flavour of Provence in the heart of Normandy. At the end of a village street, within a good walking distance (400 metres) of the WW2 invasion beach code "Gold" and a short drive from "Juno" and "Omaha" beaches, Bayeux and Caen, this is a perfect base for explorations of recent and ancient history (the 11th century Norman army that conquered England was raised in these lands - the Bayeux tapestry cannot be missed).
Two bedrooms, with exposed wooden beams, stone walls and provencal decor, one a double and the other a suite with a double bed and a single bed in a small separate bedroom: each has its own shower and toilet.
Continental breakfast is included in our
basic tariff : Mylene's husband, Christian was previously a Michelin Star
chef and can be persuaded to cook dinner on frequent occasions for his
house guests at 24 euros per head including drinks - he creates a glorious
combination of rich Norman dishes with a touch of Mylene's Provencale tastes!
If you wish to partake on the evening of your arrival please make a request
at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise a variety of good restaurants can
be found nearby.
Your hosts speak English, German and Spanish.
Car parking is in the street but at the
end of a no-through way.
Housetrained pets and children welcomed.
Open all year round.
