A lovely old 16th century manor house in the ownership of the same family for 200 years, just to the north Angers with views across the water meadows of the River Mayenne. Faded grandure and charming chaos are descriptions that spring to mind when viewing the ground floor.
The house has a comfortable, lived-in character - guests have their own salon area and there is a televion next to the old fireplace in the dining room. The owners do not speak any more than a shread of English but their kindness, patience and good humour overcome language barriers.
The style of the 4 bedrooms is less grand than the ground floor. They are reached by a wooden staircase, which is safe, but it is never the less quite a climb to the upper floor because of the great height of the ceilings below. There are 2 double rooms, 1 twin bedded room and a family room sleeping up to four, each with its own shower and toilet.
Continental breakfast is included in the
basic tariff.
For other meals, there is a good restaurant
within walking distance (belongs to your host's son!).
Children welcome.
Open all year.
Highly recommended by our clients who have stayed here.
