Situated not far to the north of Angers in the charming village of Grez-Neuville on the banks of the River Mayenne, La Croix is a lovely old manor house of the Directory period, restored with care to provide elegant and comfortable accommodation. Set in its own beautiful terraced park garden with large trees, lawns and flower beds, you could be forgiven for spending more time on a lounger in the garden or in the guests' sitting room with its lovely views, than you originally intended.

Accommodations: There are 4 large, stylish bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 2 with twin single beds that can be joined to form one king size double, all decorated in their own individual classique decor, all with private bathrooms and having lovely views of the garden and park.  Breakfast, served on the terrace in good weather,  in the pretty dining room or in your bedroom is included in our tariff and other meals can be taken at any of the many restaurants in the vicinity.

A garden path leads from the garden to the pretty riverbank village of Gez-Neuville. You can fish, bathe or take a boat trip on the river. Nearby, there are tennis courts, a boule pitch, water skiing, a swimming pool, a golf course and riding stables. You are also within easy driving distance of the historic chateaux of Anjou, many museums and other places of interest. Your English speaking hosts will assist with your excursion plans if you ask them. Open Easter to end October.  Children welcome.
