When the present English owners first saw "Le Moulin Neuf", they were captivated by this lovely old watermill with its separate maison d'amis. These charming old buildings are set in 12 acres of lush meadows and woodland, with pretty streams and a lake.
The maison d'amis has now been tastefully converted to provide 6 luxurious bedrooms, each with en suite bath/shower-rooms. There is a private guests' sittingroom. In summer, breakfast is served on a vine covered terrace.

At Le Moulin Neuf you are assured of a very warm welcome.
In the open countryside near Paunat, which is a small village just west of the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, 20 minutes from Les Eyzies, the centre of prehistory, and 40 minutes from Sarlat, Bergerac and Perigueux, Le Moulin Neuf is ideally situated for visiting the various essential sites of the region.
There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute drive, ranging from a simple brasserie to a one star Michelin restaurant. The nearest is about 3 kms away or about 25 minutes walk (but sadly it is not one we recommend!) Your hosts have an excellent relationship with the better local restauranteurs and always are happy to make bookings for you (always hoping that this does make a difference to the service they receive).
The nearest village is Paunat itself, with its wonderful abbey. This is about a 10 minute walk. There are no shops or bar. The nearest villages where you can find a restaurant bar etc are Limeuil and Tremolat both about 5 minutes' drive from here.
Guests are always welcome to picnic in the garden on nice evenings. Incidentally we do not have a licence so guests are welcome to bring in their own wine and drinks.
In a superb region for walking and wild life lovers.
