An ancient 12th century abbey hospice, where St Bernard and King Louis VII once slept, situated just alongside the old church in Vezelay, the ancient city of pilgrims.

The Swiss owners run an art gallery and coffee shop in the vaulted ground floor rooms

Accommodations: The 5 guest rooms, 1 triple and 1 double, each with private shower and toilet, and 2 triples and 1 double, each having a private shower but sharing toilets, are simple but authentic but with good, comfortable beds.

The basic tariff includes continental breakfast: dinner can also be provided in house at a very reasonable price, although you may prefer to discover the good variety of restaurants in the old city.

Open all year.
Children welcome.
Some English spoken.
