Ski Season: the massive St Gervais, Megeve and Les Contamines ski areas totalling more than 425 kms of ski pistes suiting all standards of skiers and snowboarders, are local and open from December to April: they are linked together creating an interesting and beautiful, well groomed ski area, absolutely ideal for the beginner or intermediate skier, but also testing enough to keep the most demanding skier or snowboarder satisfied for a week or more: the lift stations are just a short drive away from Domancy (daily transport to and from the local ski lifts is included in the B&B cost and ski guiding with Dennis at additional cost is available for those wanting to get to know the local area). Les Contamines, about 20 minutes drive, has one of the best snow records in the area. It has very good intermediate skiing and some excellent easy off-piste skiing and snowboarding. Chamonix with all its excellent ski resorts is also just 20 minutes drive away. Paragliding and Hang-Gliding: in spring and summer the lodge provides a base for paragliding and hang gliding, paragliding training courses, mountain climbing and hill walking. There are daily weather forecasts available and flyers can obtain all the latest information about the local conditions and flying sites. 'The Flyer's Shop’, situated at the Lodge, carries a comprehensive stock of equipment and clothing. There is also ample indoor paraglider and hang glider storage and a workshop for all repairs. |
| Accommodations: The Lodge has three guest bedrooms, one triple room with double and single beds and en-suite shower and toilet and two twin rooms (two single beds in each room) each with private shower and toilet across the corridor. There is a large lounge and dining room (with log fire for the winter months). The main house opens up onto a large south facing covered terrace and garden: the views of the mountains are all around you: a perfect place to spend the summer evenings discussing the day's events. In-house facilities include satellite TV, video/DVD, CD music and plenty of reading matter.

Not far away there are a number of excellent restaurants when dinner is not available in-house. The chalet is close to some excellent ski resorts and flying sites and the local village life is friendly. In winter access is easy even during the heavy winter snow and there is plenty of parking for those who prefer to drive. Open during the ski-season and from June to September. |
