Among the vineyards, Riquewihr is one of
the most picturesque villages in Alsace. Here we have found this wonderful,
half timbered house with blue washed walls. It stands in a narrow village
street in a very quiet situation.
Furnished in exquisite taste with cashmere rugs, antiques and bright colours, this is the place to experience a truly authentic Alsacian atmosphere. There are 4 studios, each for 2 guests, and 3 apartments for up to 5 persons, all with shower, toilet and kitchenette. Because of the cooking facilities, breakfast is presented here as an optional extra - 35 francs per head paid locally - the basket of fresh rolls and croissants left by your door is worth every centime. For other meals there are restaurants within walking distance in the village.
There are wonderful walks from the village through vineyards and countryside. You can hook onto a village tour on foot or follow the Route de Vins through the vineyards.
